Job summary

Mead Lumber Company in Gillette, WY is seeking a Sales Support Associate to assist our Outside Sales Representatives and support retail operations. You will manage customer accounts and orders while helping customers at the counter with expert advice on building materials and purchases.

You will contribute to sales growth and customer satisfaction by handling orders, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience in construction or construction sales is a plus.
• Experience with Sales Processes or Administration.
• Familiarity with BizTrack is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze problems, prioritize tasks, and implement solutions.
• Must be detail-oriented, proactive, reliable, and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations including ordering, stocking, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Input orders and quote material lists accurately.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide excellent service.
• Write tickets for stock and special orders.
• Work closely with outside sales staff and support their accounts.
• Monitor open orders and ensure timely completion.
• Set up loads with dispatch and coordinate deliveries and credit pick-ups.
• Process confirmations, invoices, and credits.
• Operate cash register accurately.
