Overview

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our Life Sales team as a Sales Support Specialist!

About the role: As a Sales Support Specialist, you will support the sales activities of our internal and external Individual Life Insurance sales team. You will provide support to advisors and wholesalers regarding Symetra's products and marketing programs. The role offers strong growth potential within the Life Sales team.

What you will do
  • Answer the phone line for the Sales Desk where financial advisors and their offices call for product information, rate information, illustration requests, and service issues. You will own resolution of calls and inquiries received on this dedicated sales support line.
  • Educate clients with Symetra thought leadership via conference calls, direct phone calls, and Teams meetings. While not product specific, this offering strengthens Symetra's value proposition to financial advisors and distributors.
  • Partner with the sales team and internal partners to drive territory sales by assisting with product inquiries, product illustrations, updates on pending applications, and fulfilling orders for marketing material and sales literature.
  • Provide calling campaign assistance by launching new products and identifying new sales opportunities.

Compensation

$22.00 - $36.23/hourly plus eligibility for annual bonus program

Who you are
  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Life and Health Insurance license required within the first 3 months of employment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical/computer skills
  • Demonstrated success in a team environment
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask and problem-solve
  • Comfortable making outbound calls as well as receiving inbound calls
  • Relevant customer service experience with an aptitude for sales
  • Desire to progress into a more advanced sales role
  • Previous life insurance experience required; life sales experience strongly preferred
