Overview

CORE Transformers is a power distribution transformer manufacturer based in Seneca, SC. We build, recondition, and distribute transformers that keep the power grid moving, from substations and data centers to industrial facilities across North America. We are growing, and we need someone to own the coordination behind every order we ship.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own the order entry process in Cin7: create sales orders, generate order acknowledgments, and ensure every order is complete and accurate before it moves forward.
• Coordinate with the shop on specs and work order details, flagging anything missing or inconsistent before it causes a delay.
• Manage outbound logistics for transformer shipments, from small parcel to heavy freight, coordinating with carriers and making sure the shop has what they need at pickup.
• Follow up with customers on tax exemption certificates, payment timelines, and shipping updates, keeping the communication chain tight.
• Serve as the first line of response for inbound customer inquiries: order status, documentation requests, and ship date questions, looping in the sales team as needed.
• Support the transition of customer repair units through the system, managing the extra process steps that come with special orders.
• Coordinate with accounting on outstanding tax certs and vendor payment follow-up when needed.
• Monitor the order queue and take initiative when something needs attention, including occasional weekend availability for time-sensitive shipments.
• Spend time shadowing in the shop early on to understand what we build and how it moves through production. It will make you significantly better at this job.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• 2-3+ years of experience in an office, operations, or customer service environment where attention to detail and follow-through were essential.
• Experience with order entry, logistics coordination, or similar administrative work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional yet approachable.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• A natural instinct for detail and accuracy.
• A team-first mentality and collaboration with others.
• Willingness to occasionally check in on evenings or weekends for time-sensitive shipments. OT pay and bonus apply when it occurs.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience in manufacturing, electrical, or industrial distribution.
• Familiarity with Cin7, Pipedrive, or similar order management/CRM platforms.
• Freight and logistics experience, especially with LTL or heavy freight coordination.
• Any background showing you can navigate a fast-moving, detail-heavy environment.
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field.

Schedule, Compensation & Benefits

• Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, on-site in Seneca, SC.
• Some availability for evening or weekend communication on time-sensitive shipments. OT pay and bonus apply when it occurs.

Compensation

• $20 - $25 per hour, commensurate with experience.
• Company-wide profit share bonus program. When CORE wins, everyone shares in it.
