Proconex, the exclusive Emerson Impact Partner for Emerson Automation Solutions in the Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Sales Support Specialist to act as the central communication hub between customers, suppliers, sales engineers, and internal teams. You will ensure orders and projects are processed accurately, with on-time delivery and complete documentation.

The role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with 2+ years in sales support or related roles and proficiency in ERP/CRM

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in sales support, sales administration, order fulfillment, customer service, project coordination, or a related business support role.
• 2+ years of experience using ERP, CRM, ticketing systems or other business systems for order management and record maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• 2+ years of experience resolving customer, supplier, or operational issues.
• 2+ years of experience maintaining business documentation, records, and reporting activities.
• 2+ years of experience communicating professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer purchase orders and resolve order-related issues with customers, suppliers, purchasing, and internal teams.
• Support sales engineers with quotations, order entry, change orders, project coordination, and administrative activities.
• Create and manage purchase orders and transactions within ERP systems, customer web portals, or ticketing systems
• Monitor critical orders, expedite shipments, and help ensure supplier delivery commitments are met.
• Maintain customer records, project documentation, reports, and document control processes.
• Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and manage customer portal activities.
• Coordinate training quotations, registrations, and logistics as needed.
• Support inventory, shipping, inspection scheduling, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with operations and business teams to identify root causes, improve processes, and implement solutions.
• Attend customer, supplier, and internal meetings as required.

Job Overview

The Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting sales operations, customer order execution, and project coordination activities. This position serves as a central point of communication between customers, suppliers, sales engineers, purchasing, operations, and other internal teams to ensure orders and projects are processed accurately, documentation requirements are met, and customer expectations are delivered on time. The role requires strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills and supports continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience using ERP, CRM, ticketing systems or other business systems for order management and record maintenance.
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with IFS ERP or similar enterprise systems.
• Experience supporting sales engineers, technical sales teams, or project-based organizations.
• Experience coordinating customer orders, purchase orders, documentation, and fulfillment activities.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of inventory management, shipping, and supplier coordination.
• Familiarity with industrial, engineering, automation, or technology-based products and services.
