Job summary

Vermeer Corporation is seeking a Sales Support Specialist II – Industrial to engage internal customers and dealers, ensuring accurate delivery schedules and forecasting. You will manage the equipment order process and support the management team with the SIOP process.

Responsibilities include coordinating with sales and dealers on lead times, orders, and shipments, as well as collaborating with internal teams to optimize stock and respond to market changes. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing with four years’ experience in administration, logistics, sales support or related field, or equivalent combination.
• Experience with Power BI preferred and ability to create concise reports and dashboards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Vermeer history and the products/services offered.

Responsibilities

• Support sales team and dealers with lead time requests, order swaps, routings, and equipment moves.
• Manage all aspects of specified OEM customers including forecasting, orders and shipments.
• Assist sales team with product group SIOP processes.
• Coordinate and manage ADDR requests and internal dealer programs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to assign stock machines and gather market feedback.
• Identify market trends and monitor competitors to inform sales strategy.
• Participate in customer events and VIP visits, contributing to events and training.

Job Summary

The Sales Support Specialist II – Industrial engages internal customers and dealers to provide quality service and accurate information regarding delivery schedules and forecasting as well as answers questions, manages the equipment order process, and maintains solid relationships. This role provides support to the management team regarding the SIOP process.

What You’ll Do

• Support sales team and dealers including, but not limited to, lead time requests, order swaps, compass routings, and equipment moves.
• Manage all aspects of specified original equipment manufacturer customers including forecasting, orders and shipments.
• Assist sales team with product group specific SIOP process.
• Coordinate and manage product group Additional Dealer Discount Requests (ADDR).
• Work with internal teams such as corporate accounts, training, and engineering to assign stock machines for their needs.
• Identify and monitor competitors that may affect sales. Conduct and analyze market research on competitors including market share, new product and pricing.
• Attend specific customer events and trade shows providing expertise and customer support. Coordinate and support factory VIP customer visit experiences and internal training events.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or Marketing with minimum four years’ experience in administration, logistics, sales support or related field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience with Power BI preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Vermeer history and the ability to answer questions regarding products and/or the company.
• Ability to develop relationships with dealers and team members. Ability to create a positive reputation with dealers and peers.
• Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships, which encourages openness with others; ability to be informative and offer professional assistance when working with the dealers, co-workers, and the public.
• Proven proficiency in Excel.
• Detail-oriented with ability to produce accurate, professional, and concise documents.
• Ability to maintain confidential material given to customers and dealers.
• Self-starter that does not require daily guidance, can handle a high workflow, and can prioritize various requests and be able to manage multiple tasks on a continuous basis.
• Ability to develop and initiate internal process enhancements for the commercial team continuously.

Travel

• Occasional travel is required of this position.

ONSITE: A team member’s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
