Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a motivated Sales Support Specialist to assist in fulfilling broker service requests and support Sales Representatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, particularly in financial services or life insurance. This remote position requires excellent skills in Excel and Word, as well as experience with Salesforce.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in customer support or sales.
  • Ability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Experience in Life Insurance or Financial Services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill broker service requests.
  • Maintain Sales Reps’ calendars and to-do lists.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain contact with Sales Reps.
  • Call prospective brokers and agents introducing the product line.
  • Coordinate quotes and assist in executing online quotes.

What you will be doing as the Sales Support Specialist:
  • Fulfill broker service requests
  • Maintain Sales Reps’ daily calendars and to do list
  • Maintain continuous contact with Sales Reps throughout the work day
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for Sales Reps and maintains their planners
  • Call prospective brokers and agents; introducing them to ShelterPoint Life and product line
  • Coordinate quotes
  • Assist in executing on-line quotes
  • Intradepartmental Communication
  • Route broker calls to appropriate department if unable to assist broker
  • Key Account Servicing
  • Customize applications and brochures for specific agencies
  • Make producer kits for brokers and Sales Reps
  • Maintains SalesForce broker database for current producer license, web site registration, producer agreements
  • Investigates database inconsistencies with Event/Database Administrative Assistant and notifies the sales rep
  • Generate reports for VP – Sales and Sales Reps on a periodic basis
  • Generate Quote Log Reports for Sales Reps
  • Type miscellaneous correspondence; i.e. thanks you letters for Sales Rep visits
  • Coordinate data processing requests through VP – Sales
  • Review customer/prospect web pages for opportunities
  • Provide website instruction to brokers
  • Call brokers on rate and benefit changes
  • Call on producers to upgrade new under 50 life cases to enhanced benefit levels
  • Meet objectives and goals set forth by management
  • Other duties as assigned
What you will need as the Sales Support Specialist:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
  • Excellent Excel and Word skills
  • Able to meet deadlines
  • Able to prioritize tasks
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred
  • Life Insurance or Financial Services experience is a plus
