Job summary

Murphy and Nolan, Inc. is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support the sales team by coordinating orders, materials, and deliveries through ERP and external partners to meet customer expectations.

You will track orders, schedule workloads, discuss product orders, and maintain accurate documentation to ensure timely fulfillment, with on-site attendance required. Requirements include a Bachelor's or AAS in Business with 5+ years in inventory control/supply chain, strong communication skills, MS

Qualifications

  • Strong written and oral communication skills for interactions with customers, vendors, and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Inside Customer Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers to ensure customer satisfaction by tracking open orders, sourcing materials, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Perform scheduling and planning for new orders in the ERP system.
  • Make decisions regarding product orders, quotes, and shipping to expedite customer requests.
  • Maintain and prioritize product worklists in the ERP to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate schedule changes based on material availability or production capacity to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and outside processors to expedite materials and services and support delivery expectations.
  • Liaise between sales and warehouse operations to prioritize critical orders and resolve issues.
  • Prepare certificates, packing slips, and other required compliance/shipment docs; support ERP parameters and settings.
  • Interact with customers, carriers, and suppliers to resolve grievances or claims; resolve issues to satisfy customer and company needs.
  • Other duties as assigned; maintain regular on-site attendance.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or relevant field or AAS Business degree with at least 5 years' experience in inventory control and supply chain processes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with interacting directly with customers is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and employees in a professional and courteous manner. Comfortable working with both high-level managers and floor operators.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, stressful environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to compose and edit written materials with a great deal of accuracy.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be highly organized.
  • Strong computer skills - Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point

Must have valid NYS drivers license.

Equipment, Machines, And Software Usage

Ability to operate a telephone, cell phone, photocopier, calculator, and a computer to send/receive email messages, post information to a database, or spreadsheet, and perform processing and/or data entry into ERP system. Computer Software: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety shoes, gloves, and safety glasses when performing certain job duties in areas as required.

Mental And Visual Requirements

Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, performing accounting work, using a computer terminal, and/or extensive reading.

Physical Activities And Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle, or feel, and perform repetitive motions of hand and/or wrists.
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Travel is required on an as needed basis to travel to other company site locations or as needed for other company business.
Environmental Conditions
  • Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
  • Work involves minimum exposure to usual elements such as temperature changes with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, noise, oils, and/or lubricating fluids which may occur when checking stock availability or visiting the Warehouse.

Compensation

Salary range is governmental exempt salary level to $65,000 per year plus discretionary incentive program
