Surge Staffing invites applications for a Staffing Specialist / Recruiter (Entry-Level Sales & Customer Service). This full-time, permanent internal role focuses on sourcing and placing candidates, delivering excellent client and employee service, and driving growth for Surge Staffing.

Ideal candidates bring 1 year of sales or customer service experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. No relocation required; local travel to client locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required.
• Previous recruiting, staffing, HR, customer service, or business development experience preferred.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and temporary employees.
• Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard qualified candidates.
• Source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and recruiting platforms.
• Match candidate skills and experience with client staffing needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and temporary associates.
• Conduct follow-up calls to ensure employee satisfaction and successful placements.
• Generate and develop new business opportunities through sales and networking efforts.
• Perform client service calls and outside sales visits to maintain and grow business partnerships.
• Promote Surge Staffing services and identify additional staffing solutions for customers.
• Support branch operations through administrative and data entry tasks.
• Assist with employee coaching, performance management, and retention efforts.
• Resolve employee and client concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Support branch growth initiatives and contribute to overall revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or customer service experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, human resources, customer service, or business development preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
