Job summary

Mission Foods in Indianapolis is seeking a Sales Specialist to support its Sales Force. You will deliver racks, build displays, prospect for new business, and foster trade relationships while reporting to the Area Sales Manager.

You're expected to manage planograms, ensure tag integrity, handle weekends, lift up to 40 pounds, and maintain clean warehouses. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required
• Some college preferred
• 2 years of related experience in sales/merchandising

Responsibilities

• Delivers racks and builds displays to encourage purchases.
• Prospects for new business and sells products and incremental space/displays.
• Develops trade relationships with customers and identifies service issues.
• Ensures planograms (POGs) are utilized to increase customer purchases; recommends product visibility.
• Inspects sales tags and checks for voids to maintain accuracy.
• Communicates with Area Sales Manager and District Sales Managers daily/weekly.
• Identifies service issues and potential service issues.
• Keeps warehouses clean and maintained.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job description

Mission Foods is looking for a talented Sales Specialists to support its Sales Force. This position reports to the Area Sales Manager.

• Delivers racks and builds displays in ways that encourage customers to buy products.
• Prospect for new business. Sell products and incremental space/displays.
• Develop strong trade relationships with customers. Identify service issues.
• Ensures Planograms (POGs) are utilized to increase customer purchases. Recommend how many products should be visible to the customer at a time, how high or how low the product should sit on shelving units and what related products should be on display nearby.
• Ensure sales tag integrity through inspection and proper placement. Check for voids.
• Communicate back to Area Sales Manager and District Sales Managers daily and weekly.
• Identify service issues and potential service issues.
• Keep warehouses clean and maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required, some college preferred. 2 Years of related experience in sales and/or merchandizing. *Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered for the above education/experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment.
• Work requires a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Candidates must live in the geographic area to ensure a reasonable commute and access to customers in the assigned district.
• Able to work flexible hours and days, including weekends as needed.
• Able to lift/move up to 40 pounds.
• Most of the work is in stores and some in the warehouse.
• English and Spanish strongly preferred.
