How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Position Title: Sales Specialist - Healthcare/Specialty Gas

- Salem, NH

- Monday - Friday

- Frequent regional travel (up to 75% of work time)

- Minimal overnight travel

Role Overview

This Sales Specialist role focuses on two areas: Healthcare Sales and Specialty Gas Sales. Healthcare Sales involves selling medical gases, products, and services to medical establishments within a specific geographic area, serving as a subject matter expert. Responsibilities include developing and executing regional medical gas marketing plans. Specialty Gas Sales aims to grow the sales of Specialty Gas Products through direct sales and collaboration with account managers, including product management and market growth planning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Increase sales and profit margins by presenting Airgas's medical and specialty gases to prospects and existing customers, emphasizing benefits aligned with customer needs.
  2. Develop and implement customer-specific marketing plans based on product and consumption analysis.
  3. Prepare sales proposals and contracts, including pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules.
  4. Provide industry and product training, customer presentations, and technical support for Healthcare and Specialty Gas needs.
  5. Monitor competition and market trends through research and marketplace intelligence.
  6. Resolve customer concerns by investigating issues, developing solutions, and communicating with management.
  7. Maintain activity and results reports, including call reports and territory analyses.
  8. Suggest improvements in processes, products, and policies based on performance and market developments.
  9. Manage existing accounts and monitor renewals.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of outside B2B sales experience with proven success in solution-selling and customer management.
  • Industry and industrial sales experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GPO contracts and National Account Structures.
  • Strong relationship management, problem-solving, and consultative selling skills.
  • Ability to target accounts and develop action plans.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to visit various customer sites with varying environments and conditions.
