ROLE DESCRIPTION: Sales Specialist S4
Role Definition
Manage the sales of Novus products in the assigned geography. It includes direct sales, assurance of new customers, distributors, agents, and new customer segments in high potential market. Coordination of identification, training, and follow-up of Novus distributors and subagents in the area. Under supervision from the manager, receives a moderate level of instruction, guidance, and direction.
General Responsibilities
- Manage sales activities of Novus products in the assigned area to maximize profit in the short and long term while complying with Novus Internal Policies and local regulations.
- Perform sales and marketing duties to execute approved business plans, following defined procedures and practices.
- Contribute to building Novus into a broader, multiproduct/program, and customer-focused company with participation in the PREP process and quarterly product and species review.
- Effectively use resources to learn how to manage and develop the specialty product sales in the assigned area.
- Supervise the distribution and sales support activities of Novus in the area. Assess credit risk and payment follow-up in close cooperation with credit management.
- Perform budgeting, forecasting, and coordinate regulatory follow-up in the area.
- Support the implementation of CSR activities and marketing of new products.
- Accomplish specific responsibilities for regional assigned projects.
- Adhere to the Novus Management System (NMS), Novus Integrity System (NIS), and all policies and procedures related to position assignment.
General Guidance for Key Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science or comparable training and 5+ years of related experience.
- Proven sales and marketing skills to focus, execute, and direct sales activities in the area with Key account Management experience.
- Detailed understanding of animal nutrition products and services relevant to the livestock industries.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of legal compliance to support the assigned area and other centralized remote functions.
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with customers.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate agents and distributors.
