Job description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is seeking a self-motivated, strategic, creative, and relationship-driven Sales Specialist to join our International Sales team in New York. In this role, you will lead and grow our publishing business across key international territories, including Asia, the Middle East, Latin America & Caribbean. You will collaborate with local sales reps, business partners, and existing customers and prospects to promote Ingram Publisher Services (IPS) by coordinating and participating in the selling of front and backlist titles from publishers such as Harvard Business Review, Grove Atlantic, Planeta USA, Tuttle, and others across all our distribution brands. The ideal candidate will have book selling experience and be willing to travel to assigned territories occasionally.

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 2 years’ related book selling experience
  • Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%
  • Experience presenting to executives and senior leadership

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for IPS sales in assigned regions, maintaining communication with local reps, customers, and partners.
  • Build and nurture relationships with client publishers to ensure their books' success in key markets.
  • Identify sales opportunities, gather market feedback, and recommend publishing strategies.
  • Develop and manage publishing programs aligned with local market needs and client goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support promotions and operational flow.
  • Analyze sales data to produce forecasts, budget updates, and growth plans.
  • Provide regular market and performance updates to leadership and clients.
  • Lead international sales presentations and manage virtual biannual sales conferences.
  • Represent the ROW International Sales team in meetings and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance sales effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain records of sales activity, forecasts, and pipelines.
  • Stay informed on publishing trends, emerging markets, and customer behavior.
  • Travel to industry events and trade shows as needed.

Salary Range: $68,585 - $85,478. The actual salary will depend on education, experience, skills, location, and internal considerations.
