Summary

The Sales representative represents the organization's product line to strategic customers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with customers and the Walong management team. Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG), particularly in Asian food and Traditional grocery store areas, is recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop Walong Marketing food sales activities in the assigned area to achieve sales volume targets, profitability goals, and expand customer base.
  • Conduct sales calls on grocery and similar outlets, negotiate promotions, and secure sales for new product lines.
  • Ensure availability and timely delivery of products to assigned customers, managing accounts receivable within acceptable terms.
  • Represent Sales & Marketing to enhance reputation, increase market share, and cultivate strong customer relationships.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing each customer's annual trade promotion program and meeting sales projections.
  • Prepare relevant reports, conduct monthly sales forecasting, and provide recommendations for business improvements.
  • Maintain up-to-date customer contact information and resolve any customer service issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products/packaging based on customer needs.
  • Represent the organization at various trade shows to showcase products and network with industry professionals.
  • Travel to visit customers on a preset schedule, subject to supervisor approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry or related sectors.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with clients and attend industry events is required.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. Mandarin language skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs), including downloading data and preparing reports.
  • Must be a team player who can also work independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful sales outcomes.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use automated sales systems.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, ensuring data is prepared according to established procedures.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

The pay range for this job is $35k-40k + commission based per year. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
