Job summary

Texas EZPAWN L.P. is seeking a Retail Shift Leader (Lead Pawnbroker) to deliver excellent customer service, lead a small team, and drive pawn sales at our Ingleside location.

You will participate in a 5-week training program with a $.50 raise and a clear path to Lead Pawnbroker after completion. Responsibilities include processing loans, negotiating terms, supervising staff, and maintaining store operations.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a supervisory role or equivalent, with coaching skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Solid negotiation and closing skills for pawn item deals.
• Excellent time-management and prioritization capabilities.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships while promoting sales and pawn items.
• Lead and coach Team Members to ensure a friendly, respectful store environment.
• Process loans and extensions and manage opening/closing procedures.
• Supervise and train store staff to meet company standards.

Job Overview

Pay range is based on experience from $14 to $15 per hour

Our Retail Shift Leader (Key Holder) position offers competitive pay based on experience with an opportunity to quickly increase your pay and position! Complete the initial 5-week paid training program and earn a $.50 raise and transition to Lead Pawnbroker upon completion of the program. Enhance your leadership skills through our structured leadership training programs. Follow the Career Path and train for an Assistant Manager position which includes a 6-month training program to build the foundation to run your own store.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess an engaging personality, solid leadership, strong negotiation talents, and the ability to read and manage customer needs. You should also be highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent judgment as well as strong time-management and prioritization skills. It is also important you display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build solid ongoing customer relationships. Additional requirements for the role include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of supervisor, key holder, shift lead, team lead, or manager experience
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and regulations
• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms or electronics, a plus
• Sales background, a plus
• Bilingual, a plus
