Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company seeks a field-based sales professional to cover the I95 corridor from Springfield to Spotsylvania, VA. You will manage the assigned territory, build and maintain relationships with job-site customers, and coordinate pre-construction meetings to support project wins.

With 2–5 years in construction materials, you will analyze project needs, provide on-site service and technical support, and help generate submittals, pricing, and market intelligence for the SSC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in business, marketing, civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in ready-mix concrete or aggregates.
• Familiarity with concrete mix designs, ASTM testing standards, and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned geographical sales area for Vulcan Materials in the I95 corridor from Springfield to Spotsylvania.
• Develop and maintain relationships with job-site customers and coordinate and attend Pre-Construction meetings.

What You’ll Do

• Managing an assigned geographical sales area for Vulcan Materials in the I95 area, Springfield to Spotsylvania markets.
• Managing customer relationships at the job site level
• Coordinating and attending Pre-Construction meetings
• Identify, track, and communicate project leads to the SSC (Sales Service Center) for follow-up, market intelligence, quote creation, and pricing.
• Provide job site service and first-line technical support, including quality control, safety, and environmental oversight
• Manage key project elements, including correspondence, schedules, specifications, testing, and statistical analysis of service and product performance
• Prepare, manage, and support the generation of submittals & revisions
• Jobsite promotion of Vulcan RMC value-added products, including specialty chemicals, fibers, and color concrete.
• Intelligence gathering for CRM, including project leads, GC, subcontractor, and supplier awards.

Skills You’ll Need

• Education. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience) is preferred.
• Experience. 2–5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically within Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC), aggregates, or heavy building materials, is preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with concrete mix designs, ASTM testing standards, and quality control processes.

• Salary Range. The base salary range for this role is between $84,528 - $95,400 annual salary. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
