Overview

D.R. Horton, Inc. is the largest homebuilder in the U.S. The Sales Representative manages the sales process while providing excellent customer service, continually sourcing new customers, helping customers find and design their dream home, and ensuring a smooth sales process.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate DR Horton’s value proposition, product vision and capabilities to potential customers
  • Uncover and understand customer goals and challenges; establish DR Horton as the best solution
  • Overcome objections and close sales
  • Maintain accurate documentation of transactions from sale through loan options and construction
  • Continually source new sales opportunities
  • Create and provide to management a marketing plan for establishing new customer relationships
  • Network and perform outreach to realtors
  • Manage time efficiently, meet sales goals, and collaborate with team members
  • Maintain and expand the database of prospects
  • Attend sales meetings
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with prospective customers, realtors, and team members
  • Execute policies to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Conduct all business professionally and ethically to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit
Education and Experience
  • Associate’s Degree or 2 years related experience
  • Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license, and be able to drive day or night
  • Ability to utilize DRH Sales applications on a smart phone, tablet, or laptop
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend; climb stairs; lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; good vision requirements
  • Regular exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Moderate noise level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensing requirements vary by state
  • Prior CRM software experience
  • Previous sales experience; knowledge of the industry preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
