Job Overview

The Sales Representative is responsible for providing sales coverage to the South Texas (Austin/ San Antonio) area and focuses on wholesale distributor branch locations and small to mid-medium contractor accounts. This individual will ensure sales and marketing strategies and promotions are implemented with assigned accounts and assists with the execution of planned sales and marketing activities for contractors and at the wholesaler locations, including counter-days and product demonstration and maintenance of point-of-purchase displays. Responsible for also implementing contractor sales and account strategies and achieving results in metro areas.

What you’ll do / Responsibilities
  • Onboard and introduce new products to assigned wholesale distributor branch locations.
  • Accountable for product trainings, demonstrations, counter days, trade shows, and lead management.
  • Receive leads from trade shows or other sources; prioritize leads in-order-to make contact and follow up on resulting opportunities.
  • Maintain, update, and utilize CRM/SAP Mobile Sales daily activity calendars to track information, including but not limited to documenting Opportunities in that sales funnel, entering sales call activities, linking customers, ranking contractors and keeping calendars up-to-date.
  • Manage and track the distribution of loaner tools.
  • Provide support to cross-functional teams as needed. Contributes to further adoption of EDI and VMI by Distributors within the District and the Regions.
  • Execute regional and corporate objectives.
  • Maintain monthly sales reports and business metrics; identifies business opportunities; reports on trends and new products.
  • Increase market growth for contractors and distributors.
  • Secure new business relationships and support current customers.
  • Responsibility for maintaining accurate reporting and metrics.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Qualifications / Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, listening, and public speaking
  • Self-motivated; able to function autonomously and as a team player
  • Ability to interpret and forecast changes in contractor and wholesaler buying patterns and product requirements
  • Knowledge of computer programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint, SAP and CRM
Education, Certification/License & Work Experience
  • College Degree strongly preferred
  • 2 years product sales experience preferred
  • May be required to travel up to 80% of the time of local travel with about 20% being overnight travel away from home

Total Rewards Package

Compensation

  • Base: $65,000 to $88,000 annually, based on specific compensable factors including, but not limited to education, work experience, and geographic market.
  • Bonus: This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
