Job summary

A global leader in genetics is seeking a Sales Representative to provide exceptional sales and customer service to regional accounts in the USA. Responsibilities include maintaining and increasing sales, finding new business opportunities, and managing customer relationships in the swine industry. The ideal candidate should have a post-secondary education in a related field and 3-5 years of experience in the industry. This role offers development opportunities and a focus on sustainability.

Your Role

The Sales Representative provides the highest level of sales & customer service to the regional accounts within the USA. This role will develop strategies to ensure the success of our product portfolio within the different segments of the swine industry. Develop strong and meaningful relationships with customers to cement a strong, mutually beneficial partnership that meets the overall objectives of the company – but – also meets the needs and requirements of our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and increasing sales with existing and assigned accounts
  • Work strategically and proactively for future growth and capture market share for the company
  • Utilize account management skills within the organization to deliver on revenue targets
  • Proactively finding new business opportunities
  • Completion and full accountability for all customers/accounts
  • Recommendations for what (and when) technical support is needed by customer
  • Implement customer specific tactics/strategies to create value, leveraging Hendrix as a global leader in the swine industry
  • Develop, lead, and conclude negotiations with customers
  • Develop sales & technical service plans
  • Create customer profiles in CRM to include customer market and product specifications
  • Represent the company at industry events such as tradeshows, conferences, etc.
Your Profile
  • Post secondary education in Business, Commerce, Agriculture or related field of study
  • 3 - 5 years of experience/knowledge working in the swine industry
  • Customer focused (internally and externally)
  • Sales experience, price negotiations, etc.
  • Demonstrates high business acumen
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Highly motivated, proactive and coachable
  • Valid passport
