About the job

We are hiring an entry-level Sales Representative for a leading sake manufacturer. If you have a true passion for sake, we strongly encourage you to apply!

Work Environment: Home office-based with occasional business travel (mainly within Florida)

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maximize sales potential, as measured by depletion sales within your region.
  • Maintain a long-term growth strategy with key wholesale contacts on a monthly basis, including: distributor management to disseminate annual sales plan and assign goals out by month and by team for each market; increase market demand and acceptance through targeting and opening of new accounts, increasing sales to existing accounts, and targeting high volume opportunities; fostering and maintaining relationships in the top key accounts; working in the marketplace with the sales distributor; become an active member of the sake community through frequent and positive interaction with the rest of the industry, key wholesaler personnel, and key accounts.
  • Recommend and implement decisions based on results of analysis that enhance the equity of the brand; recommend and substantiate budgeting needs, sales tactics and strategies, appropriate size of account base, pricing, on/off mix, etc.
  • Manage the annual budget given by the company.
  • Provide detailed monthly market analysis of sales and your activities in your territory to the VP in Sales.
  • Position yourself as a partner to the distributor management and sales team.
  • Conduct distributor training meetings in which staff is motivated to meet and exceed goals as well as teaching skill building and confidence in their presentations.
  • Develop professional sales presentations that are dynamic and results oriented.
  • Maintain correspondence with buyers.
Job Requirements
  • A deep and genuine passion for sake is essential.
  • Experience working within Japanese companies is preferred.
  • Sales experience with similar duties is a huge plus.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel independently within the assigned territory.
  • BA in Business or related field, or appropriate experience.
  • 0-2 years of sales experience in the sake, wine, spirits or craft beer industry.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening hours and weekends when needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must possess strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to include the ability to negotiate and mediate situations, speak to large audiences making effective presentations and possess strong writing skills.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to formulate strategies based on competitive data to meet both short and long-term company objectives.
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word. A working knowledge of Diver is preferred.
  • Ability to pick up and carry 40 lbs.
