What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Sell implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff
  • Partner with strategic implanting centers to develop account/implanter practices through consultation and support
  • Coordinate all support activities and develop sales partnerships with distribution alliances
  • Ensure compliance with quality policies and procedures to maintain high-quality work
  • Drive to multiple accounts throughout the territory, requiring a valid driver's license and travel
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of sales experience, with 3 of those years in medical sales, or
  • Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of Medtronic Neuroscience Clinical Specialist experience, or
  • Sales Rep I experience along with 2 years of additional prior sales or clinical experience
  • Strong understanding of the reimbursement climate and referral/therapy development
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience calling on physicians in Neurology, Physiatry, Oncology, Internal Medicine, or Primary Care
  • Familiarity with operating rooms and implantable devices
  • Solid job skills in business planning and territory financial analysis
  • Experience with developing new, innovative markets
  • Team-oriented with consultative sales skills
