Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sales Representative I, Interventional Therapies to promote and sell Interventional products across a regional territory. This remote role requires residency in the territory and frequent travel to accounts; a valid driver’s license is essential.

You will build relationships with physicians, identify needs, organize meetings with key opinion leaders, and communicate market feedback to R&D, Operations and Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirements include: High School Diploma + 8+ years of experience, OR Associate’s Degree + 6+ years, OR Bachelor’s Degree + 4+ years.
  • Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Medtronic's Interventional products within an assigned geographic area and/or specific accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships with physicians and other stakeholders.

A Day in the Life

We are seeking a committed professional to join our team. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role.

Our Neuromodulation Operating Unit provides advanced therapies for chronic pain, movement disorders, and other neurological conditions. Through spinal cord stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and targeted drug delivery systems, we deliver personalized treatments that restore function, reduce symptoms, and improve quality of life worldwide.

At Medtronic, the Sales Representative I, Interventional Therapies solicits orders, selling Medtronic Interventional products assigned and representing the company in accordance with its policies and in the area assigned; for maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions and for reporting back promptly to the district manager. This position will work in tandem with an Interventional Therapy Consultant II and will have territory coverage responsibility and sales responsibility.

Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell Medtronic's Interventional products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including physicians.
  • Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's Interventional products and/or services.
  • Organize meetings with physicians and other key opinion leaders in order to increase awareness of Medtronic's Interventional solutions.
  • Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
  • Conducts and/or evaluates market research including customers and competitors activities.
  • Develops and/or implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
  • Assesses customer needs and feedback regarding new products and/or modifications to existing products and communicates to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.

Qualifications
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 8+ years of experience*

Nice to Have
  • Ortho, spine or O.R. experience
  • Ability to sell in an environment where partnering with a surgeon is critical and ability to sell a new device or procedure
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience in selling value-added programs
  • Fully knowledgeable about the anatomy and capable of effectively explaining after the completion of sales training. After two weeks in the territory, should be able to describe the anatomy of the spine and anatomical landmarks necessary to instruct a surgeon on the use of Kyphon’s products.
  • Thrives in an environment of variety and rapid growth & change
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Accustomed to working independently with a high degree of accountability

Medtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$45,000.00 - $45,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertain solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals. Learn more about total rewards here.
