Job summary

Medtronic in the United States is seeking a Sales Representative II, Deep Brain Stimulation to cover Connecticut, drive implant center partnerships, and expand referral networks.

You will manage territory accounts, communicate the value of Medtronic therapies, and coordinate cross-functional support to meet sales goals while navigating reimbursement considerations and OR familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of sales experience with 3 of those 5 years in medical sales
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of Medtronic Neuroscience (Pain, Brain or Spine) Clinical Specialist experience
  • Master’s degree in health care related field (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Sells implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff
  • Sells the Value Proposition for Medtronic to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff
  • Partners with strategic implanting centers to develop the account/implanter practice
  • Provides product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at strategic management and analysis of sales trends
  • Maintains a working knowledge of competitive products

At Medtronic, the Sales Representative II, Deep Brain Stimulation will manage territory based business and growth by initiating, supporting and developing strategic implanting centers and assisting in developing key referral networks. Act as primary account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territory’s customer needs including account level reimbursement responsibility. This position includes coordination of all support activities and development of sales partnerships with distribution alliances.

This role will cover the entire state of Connecticut.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Sells implantable devices for specific therapies to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff

  • Sells the Value Proposition for Medtronic to physicians, institutions, payors, and other appropriate medical staff

  • Partners with strategic implanting centers to develop the account/implanter practice

  • Provides product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at strategic management and analysis of sales trends; utilization of appropriate Neuro business partners to present marketing and business plans to accounts for territory development and growth

  • Maintains a working knowledge of competitive products

  • Must have the ability to effectively use a mobile phone, IPAD and PC

  • Must have the ability to manage personal expenses and budget effectively

  • Ensures personal understanding of all quality policy/system items that are personally applicable

  • Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high quality work

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5years of sales experience with 3 of those 5years in medical sales; or

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 2years of Medtronic Neuroscience(Pain, Brain or Spine) Clinical Specialist experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in health care related field

  • Solid knowledge of reimbursement climate

  • Familiarity with the operating room

  • Solid job skills in business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$75,000.00 - $75,000.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertain solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
