Position Overview

We are seeking a high-energy, motivated Sales Representative for Dutchess & Putnam Counties.

Job Responsibilities

Territory Planning and Customer Engagement

• Visit accounts daily following an established route, maintaining route sheets, and building positive customer relations.
• Analyze territory and accounts to identify sales opportunities.
• Present tailored sales pitches to retailers based on current programs and customer needs.

Selling

• Deliver effective sales presentations, participate in training, and stay updated on product features and pricing.
• Utilize sales tools like pitch books, sell sheets, and tasting notes.
• Manage distribution and merchandising in off-premise and on-premise accounts, including staff training, product placement, and promotional activities.

Supplier and Supervision Interaction

• Coordinate with supplier representatives and management for account visits and training.
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and ensure positive consumer reactions.

Merchandising

• Install point-of-sale materials, suggest store resets, and conduct in-store tastings.
• Keep accounts properly merchandised and stocked.

Record Keeping and Communication

• Maintain accurate records using electronic tools, submit reports timely, and keep management informed.

New Accounts

• Obtain and submit credit applications, determine account classification, and secure necessary permits.

Miscellaneous

• Ensure all reports are accurate and comply with laws and regulations.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive package including commission, incentives, paid holidays, health plans, 401K, PTO, certifications, and more. A valid NY driver’s license and ability to obtain a NYS Solicitor’s Permit are required. Bachelor's degree and industry experience preferred.
