Job Description:

  • To increase the penetration of Automotive Aftermarket Products and exceed the sales forecast for the products in your territory.

  • To achieve annual sales operating plans.

  • To drive sales throughout the Transportation Industry by delivering strong head office promotional calendars

  • To identify and prioritise market segment and alternative channel opportunities for Automotive Aftermarket Division Products – (May include Marine & Commercial Vehicle)

  • Prepare and execute annual sales plan.

  • Foster strong relationships with key account contacts at head office level

  • Support the execution of plans through AAD distribution network.

  • To take responsibility for other products/projects as required.

  • To spend 80% of territory time face to face with the end user customer

  • Responsibility for a regional sales territory, which will include overnight travel

Qualifications:

  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent

  • No specific tertiary qualifications required

  • Cert III in Paint Technician or Panel Beater Technician preferred

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in a professional sales role; experience in industrial sales preferred

  • Strong selling and key account management skills

  • Proven track record of strong and consistent recent sales results

  • High degree of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Business acumen with strong verbal communication and excellent presentation skills

  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail

  • Confident in interactions with internal teams and external customers

  • Problem-solving ability and resourceful innovation to meet customer requirements

  • Knowledge of industrial products or terminology is an advantage

Additional Attributes:

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred, but a passion for developing this ability is essential
