Job Description:
To increase the penetration of Automotive Aftermarket Products and exceed the sales forecast for the products in your territory.
To achieve annual sales operating plans.
To drive sales throughout the Transportation Industry by delivering strong head office promotional calendars
To identify and prioritise market segment and alternative channel opportunities for Automotive Aftermarket Division Products – (May include Marine & Commercial Vehicle)
Prepare and execute annual sales plan.
Foster strong relationships with key account contacts at head office level
Support the execution of plans through AAD distribution network.
To take responsibility for other products/projects as required.
To spend 80% of territory time face to face with the end user customer
Responsibility for a regional sales territory, which will include overnight travel
Qualifications:
Higher School Certificate or equivalent
No specific tertiary qualifications required
Cert III in Paint Technician or Panel Beater Technician preferred
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a professional sales role; experience in industrial sales preferred
Strong selling and key account management skills
Proven track record of strong and consistent recent sales results
High degree of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Business acumen with strong verbal communication and excellent presentation skills
Strong listening skills and attention to detail
Confident in interactions with internal teams and external customers
Problem-solving ability and resourceful innovation to meet customer requirements
Knowledge of industrial products or terminology is an advantage
Additional Attributes:
Previous supervisory experience preferred, but a passion for developing this ability is essential
