Big Country Sales Representative – Austin (North)
Big Country is Texas’s only craft brewery dedicated to producing certified organic beer and hard seltzer. Through our Pledge to People and Planet we set out to prove that by brewing with the best ingredients and being the best place to work we can make the best beer and seltzer on the market. We have experienced tremendous growth since our launch and 2025 is poised to be our biggest year yet!
We are looking for an exceptional Sales Representative to guide our growth in the North Austin area. This role will cover both on and off premise accounts, from chain retail to independents.
Responsibilities
- Actively engage with 6-10 accounts per day.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision makers.
- Work with distribution partners to identify new opportunities and keep Big Country top of mind.
- Utilize CRM software to build portfolio of contacts and track account activity.
- Educate account staff on Big Country’s values through scheduled training sessions.
- Conduct promotional events at venues, accounts and festivals.
- Oversee Brand Ambassadors within your territory.
- Occasionally travel outside of defined territory for team selling and events.
- Meet or exceed performance targets.
- Be the face of Big Country – bring positive energy, be accountable, be responsive.
Qualifications
- Engaging, personable, relatable, and inquisitive.
- Knowledgeable about beer and hard seltzer, and you want to share that knowledge with others.
- Comfortable working independently and setting own schedule.
- 3+ years of experience as a Sales or Marketing Representative in the Beer/Wine/Spirits industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Office, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Requirements
- Must hold current TABC Seller/Server Certification (or complete within 30 days of employment).
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Must have valid driver’s license and dependable personal vehicle.
- Must currently live in the Austin, TX area, no relocation assistance available.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Primarily Monday – Friday. Some evenings and weekends required.
Location: In-person, not eligible for remote work.
Salary: base + quarterly performance bonus + mileage and expense reimbursement
