Job summary

Sleep Number Retail Corporation is hiring for a Sales Representative role in Maryland. You will engage customers, identify sleep needs, and recommend Sleep Number products while delivering a personalized store experience.

You will also nurture prospects, maintain a welcoming showroom, and participate in ongoing training to sharpen selling skills. The role emphasizes strong communication, flexibility to work evenings/weekends, and comfort with CRM and POS tools.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to diverse customer needs.
• Goal-oriented, with a drive to exceed sales goals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including evenings and weekends.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer-facing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in consultative or relationship-based sales is a plus.

What You’ll Do

Discover each customer’s sleep needs and match them with the right Sleep Number products. Clearly explain product benefits and current promotions while delivering personalized customer experiences to drive satisfaction and exceed sales goals. Proactively nurture prospective customers through outbound calls, with a strong focus on building relationships that generate repeat and new business. Work together to maintain a polished showroom and deliver an exceptional store experience. Take part in sales practice training and coaching to sharpen your skills.

What You Bring

• Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to diverse customer needs.
• Goal-oriented and customer-focused attitude, with a drive to exceed individual and team sales goals.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• 1-2 years of retail, customer service, or other customer-facing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Experience in consultative or relationship-based sales, ideally in a commission-driven environment.
• Comfortable using CRM systems, point-of-sale technology, and interactive sales tools (e.g., iPads, apps).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a team.

• Most team members earn a salary of $48,000-$63,000annually; actual earnings vary and are not guaranteed.
• Guaranteed base pay of $16/hour, along with uncapped commission and bonus potential.
