Job summary

CIMARRON TRAILERS, INC. is seeking a sales professional to manage a regional territory and drive growth with both new and existing customers.

You will prepare presentations, assess customer needs, and recommend appropriate trailer solutions while maintaining strong relationships through the sales cycle. The role requires at least 3 years in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, with a Bachelor's in business/marketing preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in high-volume fast paced manufacturing environment or a commensurate level of experience with related products.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participation in professional societies.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with management in updating territory plan and set sales goals
  • Determine sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation or periodical research
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations of products to new and existing customers
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction, maintain and continuously improve customer relationships
  • Increase business and account base by finding and qualifying new business accounts using sales techniques to cross sell and up-sell
  • Learn and apply new product knowledge to enhance sales and personal professionalism
  • Assist clients with special requests and resolve problems i.e. supply information, complaints, etc.
  • Visit dealerships as needed in order to measure and/or provide client services
  • Routinely gather competitive information and other market data
  • Prepare and present quotes
  • Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products
  • Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts
  • Remain current with changes in local codes and consumer preferences
  • Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows or reading trade journals
  • Practice honesty and integrity in customer and vendor relations
  • Maintain proficiency in technical and computer skills to effectively utilize office software
  • Consistently present a professional image to customers and vendors
  • Participate in trade association functions and be active in local industry organizations
  • Ensure work meets quality standard and is completed within production deadline
  • Regular attendance is a critical function of this job

Education and Experience:

  • Thorough, accurate and possess strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to offer creative solutions to dealers in order to meet or exceed internal or external customer requirements
  • Able to work effectively with vendors, customers, and employees.
  • Excel at working in a team environment.
  • Familiar with livestock, livestock transportation, product construction and application.
  • Organized, self-motivated, demonstrate a high sense of urgency completing tasks in a timely manner, and able to work independently.

  • None

Physical Demands:

  • Required to sit or stand and move about the facility.

  • Combination of office, plant and outdoor environment.
  • Exposed to various environmental conditions, including extreme heat & cold while walking in and out of doors between buildings
