Job Objective

To efficiently receive, sort, price, tag, and stock donations, ensuring a seamless flow from the drive-thru to the sales floor. Contribute to the overall smooth operation of a fast-paced retail environment. This position reports to the Store Manager who evaluates performance annually.

Essential Job Functions

• Greet customers warmly, provide excellent customer service, and address inquiries promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Track and manage inventory levels, perform regular counts, restock merchandise, and report discrepancies. Ensure organized stockrooms and back-end inventory.
• Process customer purchases accurately using the POS system, handle transactions, monitor cash drawer, and assist with end-of-day cash balancing and deposits.
• Uphold Kaizen standards by continuously seeking improvements in efficiency, organization, and workflow.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support store operations, adapt to changing priorities, and foster a positive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Education And Skills

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with donors and create a welcoming environment.
• Friendly, approachable, patient, and professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail in sorting, inspecting, and pricing donations.
• Ability to quickly learn donation policies and identify acceptable items.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols, proper lifting techniques, hazard awareness, and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Flexible availability.
• Physical ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, crouch, kneel, and lift/move up to 50 lbs., and operate material handling equipment safely.
