Job description

The Sales Car Porter is responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles, maintaining the condition of new vehicles, and keeping the car lot and vehicles in good condition. The role also involves assisting sales managers and sales professionals as needed.

Responsibilities

  1. Approach all customer and employee interactions in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  2. Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  3. Ensure regular attendance in accordance with DeMontrond standards.
  4. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform.
  5. Follow all safety standards and regulations to promote safe work habits.
  6. Clean showroom vehicles each morning.
  7. Check vehicle interiors for cleanliness.
  8. Verify all vehicles have DeMontrond plates (front and back).
  9. Display factory window stickers on all new vehicles.
  10. Ensure grounded demos display AS-IS stickers along with window stickers.
  11. Assist in keeping the building and surrounding area clean and free of debris.
  12. Keep vehicles on the lot properly aligned.
  13. Maintain a full front lot.
  14. Keep used vehicles on the lot with a ¼ tank of gas.
  15. Wash and dry vehicles as needed to maintain cleanliness standards.
  16. Report any vendor issues to the manager.

Note: This list is not exhaustive. Duties may be revised as needed due to circumstances such as emergencies, workload, or technological changes.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold).
