Job summary

Buick GMC Cadillac of Thousand Oaks, part of Swickard Auto Group, is seeking a Sales Porter to maintain the lot, assist the sales team, and stage vehicles for guest viewings and deliveries.

You will work outdoors, keep the lot organized and presentable, and help with vehicle check-ins and deliveries. This entry-level role offers growth into porter, sales support, and service positions within a respected West Coast dealership group.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Organized and self-directed.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Professional demeanor with guests on the lot.
• Prior lot attendant, porter, valet, or related experience a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lot organization; vehicles clearly displayed and accessible.
• Move vehicles as directed for display, guest viewing, test drives, and delivery staging.
• Keep the lot clean and presentable; remove debris and maintain signage.
• Assist with new vehicle check-in and pre-delivery staging.
• Support sales team with vehicle retrieval and lot logistics.
• Report vehicle condition issues promptly to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with general lot upkeep.

What You'll Do

• Maintain lot organization throughout the day -- ensuring vehicles are properly positioned, clearly displayed, and accessible to guests and the sales team at all times
• Move vehicles as directed by sales management -- repositioning inventory for display, guest viewing, test drives, and delivery staging
• Keep the lot clean and presentable -- removing debris, maintaining signage, and ensuring the overall appearance reflects the store's standard
• Assist with new vehicle check-in and pre-delivery staging -- ensuring vehicles are properly placed and guest-ready for upcoming appointments and deliveries
• Support the sales team with vehicle retrieval and lot logistics throughout the shift
• Report any vehicle condition issues -- damage, low fuel, warning lights -- to the appropriate team member promptly
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with general lot upkeep as directed

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record -- required
• Organized and self-directed -- you notice what needs doing and handle it without waiting to be asked
• Reliable and punctual -- the sales team's lot depends on consistent coverage throughout the day
• Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions throughout the shift
• Professional demeanor -- guests are on the lot and the attendant who represents the store well in every interaction contributes to the experience before the sales conversation even starts
• Prior lot attendant, porter, valet, or related experience a plus -- not required
