Job summary

Murgado Acura of Highland Park, part of the Murgado Automotive Group, is seeking a motivated Porter. The role involves moving and parking cars, assisting customers, and keeping the lot clean and organized.

You’ll prep vehicles for delivery, transport vehicles as needed, and support the sales team with errands and deliveries. Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license, strong customer service skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Management: Safely move and park vehicles on the dealership lot, ensuring all vehicles are positioned appropriately for sales or service.
• Customer Service: Greet customers as they arrive, assist with parking, and provide directions or information as needed.
• Lot Maintenance: Keep the dealership lot and service areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Vehicle Prep: Wash, vacuum, and prepare vehicles for customer delivery or service appointments.
• Transportation: Assist with transporting vehicles between dealership locations or to customer locations as needed.
• Support: Provide assistance to the sales department as required, including running errands, shuttling customers, or delivering parts.
• Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and ensure vehicles are properly labeled and accounted for on the lot.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience as a Porter, Valet, or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.
• Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
• Physical Ability: Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team Player: A positive attitude and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work well within a team.
