Job summary

The Honest Company is seeking a Sales Planning Analyst to build, implement, and manage Honest's sales analytics and reporting. You will work with a retail sales team and cross-functional partners to enable leaders to reach company goals, while supporting Sales Operations, Sales Planning, and Field Sales.

You will be a key player in driving data-driven decisions, optimizing trade investments, and delivering insightful dashboards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1–3 years with a CPG retailer on a sales team.
  • 3–5 years of analytical and business experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and insights to meet retail team and internal sales needs.
  • Assist with setup across tools and portals as needed.
  • Lead and own reporting for demand planning and trade analytics.
  • Develop data-driven insights to inform trade investment decisions.
  • Lead the Power BI reporting space for advanced analytics.
  • Train and support the sales team on tool updates and reports.
  • Collaborate with sales, IT, and Upclear to resolve issues and optimize processes.
  • Create, maintain, and publish critical sales reports and dashboards.

The Role

We have kicked off a search for a Sales Planning Analyst. This role will develop, implement, and administer Honest's sales analytics using your experience working on a retail sales team. You will bring your knowledge of working with a retailer to internal cross-functional partners, to enable leaders to reach company goals and objectives. You'll be a key player on the Sales Team, supporting Sales Operations, Sales Planning and Field Sales in their key initiatives. You will also help with the execution of those initiatives with cross-functional partners to achieve organizational goals. You're the right person for the job if you have experience working on a retail sales team, consumer-first, work independently, equally analytical and entrepreneurial, able to be scrappy, flexible and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:
  • Use your direct retailer-facing experience to provide guidance and insights that meet retail team and internal sales team needs.
  • Provide customer facing setup support including, WERC's, Syndigo GDSN, IXONE, and Top 3 Customer portal updates as needed.
  • Trade Management System (Upclear Blue Planner) super user and report owner.
  • Leads the team in usage of the tool including baseline input, forecast input, and assortment management.
  • Experience with Demand Planning systems that use Trade Management data.
  • Delivers data driven insights and customized reporting to inform trade investment decisions.
  • Leads the Power BI reporting space that Blueplanner provides for advanced analytics.
  • Uses PowerPoint, Excel, Metabase, Power BI and Upclear data to present actionable insights to the sales trade and planning team, to aid in achieving yearly goals.
  • Supports the sales team and the organization with training and support on released updates in the trade management tool.
  • Works with sales, IT and Upclear to resolve any identified issues, updates or process challenges. Identifies and presents process changes leveraging data analytics.
  • Onboards and keeps the sales team updated on all reports they receive or use (Hubble, Meta base, Crossfunctional Reports).
  • Builds reports in Meta Base to support critical analysis and decision making.
  • Manages report suite for the sale team, including updates to current reports and publication of data.
  • Co-Lead as Project Analyst of the New Customer Launch & Setup process.
  • Co-Lead as Project Analyst of the Current Customer Needs Project Call.
  • Supports the sales team with sku discontinuation and transition communications.
  • Leads the organization of the sales team Box folder and Retail Spot light slack channel.
  • Creates, maintains critical folders and spaces in the Sales Central box location. Archives and organizes information as needed.
  • Backup to the Pricing & Trade Analyst (Critical daily duties only).

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience working with a CPG retailer on a sales team
  • 3-5 years of analytical + business experience in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Google Docs
  • Experience with Metabase, Power BI, Upclear Blue Planner, Atlas, Syndigo, JD Edwards or equivalent systems
  • Strong analytical skills and a creative approach to problem solving
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management skills
Compensation

The pay range for this role is $70,000-$80,000/yr. Actual compensation is based on many factors including but not limited to depth of experience, skill level, ability, knowledge, education, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total rewards package for this position may also include base, annual incentive plan, benefits, retirement plan, equity, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
