Job summary

Mondo is seeking a Sales Planning Analyst for a hybrid role based in Playa Vista, Los Angeles. You will support retail sales operations, planning, and analytics within a growing consumer products environment, partnering with internal teams and major retail customers to optimize sales execution and reporting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with sales leadership and field teams, managing item setup, and developing sales reports.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience at a CPG company, ideally supporting major retailers.
• Direct experience with retail customers or retailer-facing sales teams.
• Understanding of retail pricing, trade promotions, and customer account processes.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong analytical aptitude and comfort with sales data and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to ambiguity in a lean, fast-moving org.
• Must reside in Los Angeles area and be onsite in Playa Vista at least 2 days/week.

Job Title: Sales Planning Analyst
Location-Type: Hybrid – Playa Vista, Los Angeles, CA (2 days onsite per week, potentially increasing to 3)
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: Permanent / Full-Time
Compensation Range: $70,000–$80,000 annually bonus and equity

The Sales Planning Analyst will support retail sales operations, planning, and analytics for a growing consumer packaged goods (Client) organization, partnering with internal teams and retail customers to improve sales execution, reporting, and business performance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Partner with sales leadership, sales operations, and field sales teams to support key business initiatives.
• Manage retail item setup, product information, and ongoing item maintenance for major retail accounts.
• Collaborate directly with retail customers to address operational needs and support account execution.
• Develop and maintain sales reports, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with IT to build and improve reporting tools and processes.
• Work cross-functionally with regulatory and internal stakeholders to ensure retail requirements are met.
• Support pricing, trade planning, and customer-related sales activities.
• Help streamline sales operations and resolve day-to-day challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1–3 years of experience working at a consumer packaged goods (Client) company, ideally supporting major retailers such as Target, Walmart, or Kroger.
• Direct experience working with retail customers or supporting retailer-facing sales teams.
• Understanding of retail pricing, trade promotions, and customer account processes.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Strong analytical aptitude and comfort working with sales data and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to ambiguity in a lean, fast-moving organization.
• Must reside in the Los Angeles area and be able to work onsite in Playa Vista at least 2 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sales analytics, retail account planning, or sales operations.
• Familiarity with Metabase, Power BI, UpClear BluePlanner, Atlas, Syndigo, JD Edwards, or comparable platforms.
• Experience working with national retail accounts within the Client industry.
• Experience coordinating product setup, item management, or retail data reporting.
• Background in a growing consumer products company with cross-functional responsibilities.
