Job summary

Axe Building Supply in Middletown, NJ is seeking a proactive Sales & Marketing Assistant to support two Commodity Trading Managers, maintain the lead pipeline, ensure data accuracy, and expand our digital footprint. The role covers CRM data upkeep, campaign support, and content creation for social channels.

The position offers Monday–Thursday, 9am–4pm with growth potential in a fast-growing company. A marketing or related degree plus 1–2 years in sales support or marketing is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–2 years of experience in a sales support or marketing role preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
• Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus
• Experience with social media management and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) preferred
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Interest in or knowledge of the building materials or construction industry is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with lead generation, follow-ups, and client communication
• Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital and print channels
• Manage and update the company's CRM system with accurate customer and prospect data
• Create and schedule content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
• Coordinate the production of marketing materials including brochures, flyers, and email newsletters
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities
• Assist with trade show and event coordination, including logistics and promotional materials
• Track and report on key marketing metrics and sales activity on a weekly basis
