Job description

A Day in the Life

This is an exciting role for an experienced sales professional to be part of a company and a successful Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business that thinks differently to solve problems and deliver meaningful and disruptive innovations to the electrophysiology market in Australia & New Zealand.

You will be involved in the sales and support of the launch of Medtronic’s Pulse Field Ablation platforms Pulse Select, Sphere 9, and the Affera 3D mapping and navigation system, along with EP products within the CAS business. A successful candidate will have a proven track record in Electrophysiology 3D Mapping and navigation, a strong understanding of the sales process for both capital and consumables, and a high degree of commercial acumen to drive success, grow the market, and achieve sales revenue.

You will be based in Melbourne and report to the Cardiac Ablation Solutions Regional Business Director.

About Cardiac Ablation Solutions

It offers cardiac mapping and ablation solutions to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms. The focus is on disrupting and leading the market with advanced ablation catheters, cardiac mapping systems, and conventional EP products.

Responsibilities
  • Promote, sell, and educate on Medtronic’s Cardiac Ablation Solutions consumable and capital products across Victoria.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders at clinical, procurement, and C-suite levels to leverage these for sales of Cardiac Ablation Solutions consumables and capital equipment.
  • Provide case and technical support during Radiofrequency ablation, Cryoablation, electrophysiology, and 3D mapping/navigation procedures as required.
  • Formulate an annual and quarterly business plan aligned with the Cardiac Ablation Solutions marketing/business plan to protect and grow the business.
  • Present the Cardiac Ablation Solutions vision and strategy to key customer stakeholders.
  • Deliver technical in-services to clinical buyers and provide insights on state tender pricing initiatives.
  • Log Business Plans, Sales Calls, Scheduled Procedures, Opportunities, and Forecast into Salesforce.com.
  • Manage effective consignment inventory—ensuring each location has the right amount of inventory for scheduled procedures, with the right product and quantity at the right time.
  • Forecast sales and unit demand accurately.
  • Support clinical strategy through protocols and inventory management related to clinical studies.
  • Gather market intelligence on customer and competitor activity and communicate findings to relevant teams.
  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • Degree qualifications.
  • Proficiency in consumable and capital sales.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and ablation electrophysiology procedures to operate as a technical support expert.
  • Knowledge of 3D electrophysiology mapping and navigation systems.
  • Willingness to travel interstate occasionally.
  • Valid driver’s license.
