Job summary

Kongsberg Discovery is seeking a Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for Uncrewed Platform products across the Americas. POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Manager reports to Vice President Sales for Uncrewed Platforms, with associated responsibilities to Vice President Sales for Americas.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales and promotion of KD’s products, solutions and services, with emphasis on Uncrewed Platform products and systems including but not limited to:
  • HUGIN family of AUVs
  • KD USV Systems
  • Specific market and/or regional responsibility:
  • Commercial and academic segments in the Americas
  • Active engagement with personnel and leadership at existing customers
  • Actively prospect for new customers in existing markets
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and pursue opportunities for our products in new or adjacent markets
  • Participate in and lead related sales bids in response to requests for quotation
  • Representing Kongsberg Discovery products and services at industry events and advocacy
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other Kongsberg companies as appropriate for related sales activities in the region

Responsible for the following activities in support of the Uncrewed Platforms sales team:

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of your sales pipeline in our CRM system
  • Assist with order income projection, reporting and analysis
  • Assist with sales and marketing strategy, plans and implementation
  • Support sales organization and market representatives in region of responsibility
  • Collaborate and participate in KD’s global sales organization

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Develop and maintain knowledge as follows:
  • Key potential customers and stakeholders
  • Excellent understanding of KD Uncrewed Platforms products and services, plus working knowledge of other KD products
  • Application of KD technology
  • Clear understanding of competitive advantages and value proposition
  • Knowledge of competing marine technology companies and products
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending conferences, educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies etc.
  • The incumbent is also required to complete any other tasks associated with Kongsberg Discovery activities as deemed appropriate.

Work Location: Preferred location is Houston, New Orleans, or remote location in Gulf Coast area

Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually, DOE
