The Inn at Penn, a Hilton Hotel is looking for a Sales Manager to join their team! This individual will prospect, book, and manage group and catering business within the Corporate, Government, Education markets. This Sales Manager will also be responsible for Local Negotiated BTS Accounts. We're located on the University of Pennsylvania campus, across the street from The Wharton School. Drexel University and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia are a few blocks away and City Hall is 11 minutes from our door. Come join our team!

What will I be doing?

Increase qualified group booking volume by developing key relationships with new accounts and growing production with assigned existing accounts.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Respond to sales inquiries from potential customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc.
  • Methodically solicit potential clients for future business on an ongoing basis
  • Establish and maintain visibility with accounts.
  • Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and analyze lost business.
  • Plan and execute site inspections as required.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual group sales goals.
  • Conduct outside sales calls and polished presentations to local companies and schools.
  • Attend hotel and industry-related functions and tradeshows.
  • Entertain potential and existing clientele to develop and maintain relationships.

  • Communicate clearly and accurately (verbally or non-verbally) in a pleasant manner.
  • Show competence by completing job responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
  • Demonstrate an ability to follow a prescribed sequence of service with each encounter.
