Sales Manager- Swine– Remote – Midwest

We need this person in either Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, or Minnesota.

Position Summary:

To accelerate growth and strengthen market presence across the U.S. swine industry, the goal is to build a high-performing sales team while cultivating deep, strategic relationships with key customer segments, including swine production accounts, regional feed companies, and influential nutrition consultants.

Sales Manager- Swine Business (Location Midwest)

ADM Animal Nutrition, a division of Archer Daniels Midland Company, is a leading manufacturer offering innovative products for the animal nutrition market. We seek a team leader with proven account management and sales experience to serve as Business Development Manager for key specialty additives and ingredients, primarily in North America.

This individual will manage a small team, develop relationships with strategic accounts, and focus on understanding customer goals to position ADM products effectively.

Responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Participate in face-to-face and remote sales, providing solutions for FA&I’s, Premix, and Amino Acids.
  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to meet sales and profit goals
  • Build relationships with sales reps, managers, and executives to evaluate strategies
  • Develop business relationships and improve customer experience
  • Understand company products, market position, and competition
  • Strategically plan and execute sales initiatives
  • Communicate cross-functionally across all organization levels
  • Monitor sales reporting and maintain a sales pipeline
  • Log high-impact activities after customer visits
  • Plan and execute marketing initiatives
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations
  • Relay customer pain points to relevant departments
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospects and meet/exceed quotas
  • Develop business plans with financial targets per account
  • Monitor feed ingredient pricing and industry trends
  • Coordinate with customer service for client needs

Minimum requirements:

  • Proven leadership in managing sales teams and achieving targets
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 5+ years in animal nutrition or related fields
  • Experience working with North American swine integrators is a plus
  • Experience as an Account Manager or similar roles
  • Strong problem-solving and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel 40-60%

ADM requires a background check. Compensation varies based on factors like location and experience. The pay range is $92,800 - $172,800, plus annual bonus and long-term incentives.
