Job Description Salary: $100k+

Summary/Objective

DYWIDAG is a global leader in construction and infrastructure technology, working with government authorities, asset owners, construction companies, and design offices to support infrastructure projects. We operate in over 50 countries worldwide, ensuring infrastructure safety and security daily.

The Sales Manager plays a key role in growing DYWIDAG's Post Tensioning and Repair and Strengthening Business Unit within the Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma territories. The role involves developing strong client relationships through technical presentations, prospecting, networking, and leveraging internal resources. Success is measured by opportunities generated, revenue produced, delivery capabilities met, and customer satisfaction achieved.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, and Management teams to ensure coordinated client and internal team efforts, meeting or exceeding budgets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, engineers, vendors, and team members.
  • Prospect for new opportunities via presentations, networking, cold calling, lead tools, and vendor relationships to maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Educate existing clients about relevant products and services to support sales growth.
  • Lead technical proposal development in coordination with the estimating team.
  • Manage sales leads and proposals in the CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
  • Maintain understanding of market trends, competitors, risks, and opportunities, and prepare summaries and forecasts.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to gather market feedback and promote DYWIDAG products and services.
  • Develop and implement a business development plan aligned with company strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing partners on campaigns, collateral, reports, and social media.
  • Stay informed about all DYWIDAG products and services.
  • Utilize CRM tools effectively.
  • Resolve field performance, collections, and customer satisfaction issues as needed.
  • Ensure smooth project transitions from sales to operations and monitor progress.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Education/Experience

  • Knowledge of sales techniques (value-selling, consultative selling) and value-added strategies.
  • Experience with CRM tools.
  • Technical proposal writing, presentation, negotiation, communication, and conflict management skills.
  • Construction site experience in civil, heavy construction, DOT, bridge construction, or similar is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for building long-term relationships.
  • Technical acumen and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Excellent listening, rapport-building, and influencing skills.
  • Understanding of post-tensioning, carbon fiber, and structural repair systems, or ability to learn quickly.

  • Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to gather market intelligence and identify customer needs.
  • Proven sales target achievement and revenue growth skills.
  • Leadership in estimating team development.
  • Ability to identify decision-makers within organizations.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel up to 50%, including site visits and meetings.
  • Ability to navigate various construction environments.
  • Occasional meetings at company offices as needed.

Physical Demands

  • Sitting, standing, laptop use for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 15 lbs.
