The Sales Manager at Aqua-Chem locates, identifies, and performs sales functions for assigned region and markets, conducting the sales function relating to ultra-pure water systems.
Schedule: FT, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Essential Duties:
- Market the company within the territory to engineering firms, EPCs, and industrial end user processors.
- Qualify technical projects and solutions with Regional Director, Area Sales Director, and Sales Engineers.
- Commercial closing of new projects/sales orders.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for ultra-pure water.
- Work with technical design and sales engineers to propose technical solutions to industrial customers.
- Present technical solutions and presentations to industry network groups and international conferences.
- Visit industrial sites to review existing installations and provide technical recommendations for improvement in both performance and optimization.
- Understand proposed technical offerings with the ability to explain to potential customers (plant managers and engineers).
- Coordinate commercial and technical activities of Nijhuis Industries and its affiliates in the territory.
- Track ongoing business and operational results compared to established goals and execute corrective actions as needed.
- Participate in planning/implementation strategies to enter into new/key markets.
- Assist in the fulfillment of requirements of Request for Quotes (RFQ)s using internal resources to provide needed information.
- Assist in change order requests by customers to meet their needs.
- Ability to evaluate technical data using analytical skills while providing customer service to new and existing customers.
- Revise quotes and orders as required to facilitate processing.
- Identify and proactively search out new business from existing and new clients creating an active sales funnel.
- Develop, enable, and coordinate sales strategies, communicating among the sales and engineering teams.
- Develop a channel of communication amongst an established sales network that maintains contact with the customers and sales channel representatives.
- Provide a monthly sales activity report and forecast to the head of Sales in the format requested.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFI)s from customers.
- Assist in solving customer’s problems.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Technical/Scientific field of study.
- Ten (10) plus years in a similar position in the ultra-pure water, wastewater industry, or technical process design and application engineering of equipment and/or water and wastewater solutions for industrial customers.
Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 50% to visit customers and sales channels throughout an assigned region.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Able to work overtime as required.
