Job Details
  • Location: Remote from the Midwestern USA (WI, MN, IA, IL, MI, IN, & Eastern MO)
  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Core Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (Flexible)
  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Travel: 40%–50% (overnight ~1–2 days/week)

Role Description

Our client, a leading plastics manufacturer, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive B2B growth across the Midwestern United States. The company produces both custom and stock containers with products that are SQF and IMS certified. The ideal candidate will be a proven hunter with a strong track record of building lasting customer relationships and growing sales within the plastics manufacturing industry. To be successful, you must be results-oriented, innovative, and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize based on strategic objectives. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established organization known for its strong culture, work-life balance, and outstanding industry reputation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop customer relationships to understand business needs
  • Identify and propose solutions to capture sales opportunities
  • Prospect new business and identify growth opportunities (75% new / 25% existing)
  • Conduct meetings with customers across the Midwest
  • Plan regular travel and set appointments (Typically ~Tu–Th travel, overnight ~1–2 nights)
  • Communicate trends, pricing, and competition to internal teams
  • Document sales activity and prospects in the company CRM
  • Proactively notify customers of upcoming material cost increases
  • Support with accounts receivable outreach as needed
  • Collaborate with operations to improve efficiency, lower costs, & meet customer needs
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of B2B plastics sales experience
  • Experience in blow molding, injection molding, or PET
  • Proven ability to grow and manage a sales territory
  • Willingness/ability to travel 40%–50%
