We operate with 4 international manufacturing facilities, 2 R&D labs, over 50 ingredients, and more than 70 published clinical studies. Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Sales Manager to join our remote team in the Central Mountain West Region of the U.S. to drive growth through technical expertise and strong customer relationships. The role involves developing partnerships and leveraging our ingredient portfolio to co-develop new products and increase market share, with travel up to 50%.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a technical expert for Akay Bioactives' ingredients and technologies to promote sales in the region.
  2. Drive profitable growth through prospecting, managing sales pipelines, and achieving regional sales targets via in-person and virtual meetings.
  3. Utilize market research tools and databases to identify and qualify potential customers.
  4. Collaborate with sales, marketing, R&D, and other internal teams to enhance customer experience.
  5. Manage and report on sales objectives, KPIs, and CRM data.
  6. Provide financial and sales pipeline reports to management.
  7. Identify new business opportunities and market trends, providing strategic input.
  8. Participate in trade shows and industry events to generate leads and insights.

Candidate Profile: Ideal candidates have a strong sales background in health and nutrition, comfortable engaging with stakeholders like R&D professionals and product developers. They should excel in prospecting, managing sales pipelines, and thrive in dynamic environments with entrepreneurial spirit.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, nutrition, life sciences, or related fields.
  • 2+ years in technical sales or marketing within the nutraceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of dietary supplement markets.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling botanical extracts or nutraceutical ingredients across various channels.
  • Experience with CRM software like Salesforce and formal sales processes.
  • Strong science communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
