Your Role

The Sales Manager oversees the sales experience within a Neiman Marcus store department(s), fosters cross-departmental partnerships, drives team performance towards goals, and builds a customer-centric sales environment, all while stewarding the Neiman Marcus brand. The role is on-site at the assigned location, reporting to a Senior Group Manager.

What You'll Do
  1. Drive maximum sales and growth aligned with the company’s vision and values, collaborating with department leads.
  2. Manage merchandise and communication with merchant and vendor partners, including presentation, returns, and damages.
  3. Lead team execution, proactively addressing risks and obstacles to stay within department goals.
  4. Contribute to and prioritize strategic store and departmental goals.
  5. Review business performance with Buyers and develop action plans for improvement.
  6. Partner with Client Development Lead(s) to establish plans and strategies.
  7. Analyze customer behaviors, trends, and preferences, and adjust processes accordingly.
  8. Develop departmental budgets, ensuring adherence to guidelines to optimize expenses and revenue.
  9. Support compliance with audit and stockroom controls.
  10. Manage product placement, sales promotion, and team leadership within the department.
What You Bring
  1. 4-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in luxury retail fashion.
  2. Proven track record of achieving results.
  3. Experience in building, leading, motivating, and coaching teams.
  4. A collaborative, “Win together” mentality.
  5. Ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 10 pounds as needed.
  6. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
