Estimated annual base pay:

Sales Manager L2- Base Salary: $132,000.00-$165,000.00-$198,000.00

  • CALIFORNIA ONLY- Estimated annual base pay: $145,200.00(minimum) - $181,500.00(midpoint) - $217,800.00(maximum)

Sales Manager L3- Base Salary: 142,800.00- $178,500-$214,200.00

  • CALIFORNIA ONLY- Estimated annual base pay: $157,200.00(minimum) - $196,500.00(midpoint) - $235,800.00(maximum)

  • All members included in cash bonus opportunity

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a sales professional with a proven record of managing customer accounts and selling highly engineered products, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

The role involves being a key member of the Military OEM Sales team, The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as main customer interface, satisfy customer requirements and increase business to existing or new accounts. Customer base is medium to larger, focus resulting in significant impacts to multiple Woodward business units.

What You Will Be Doing...

  • Serve as a key member of the Military OEM Sales team.

  • Act as the primary customer interface, building and maintaining strong relationships.

  • Understand and satisfy customer requirements effectively.

  • Drive business growth by managing and expanding existing accounts.

  • Identify and secure opportunities with new accounts.

  • Focus on medium to large customer bases with significant potential.

  • Contribute to impactful outcomes across multiple Woodward business units.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty to support long-term partnerships.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions for customers.

  • Play a strategic role in achieving sales and revenue objectives.

What We Are Looking For...

Level 2:

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Business or Engineering preferred.

  • Additional formal training in specialized areas such as program management, negotiations and strategic selling preferred.

  • 5+ years' experience in progressive sales experience required, preferably in an aircraft engine or aircraft industry segment.

  • Relevant experience working with a technical/engineered product serving complex accounts and channels required.

  • Sales account responsibility for medium-scale sales experience (i.e. $25M +) preferred.

  • Track record of results working for a multinational company (companies) with a diverse customer base required.

  • Strong commercial skills including: selling process, pricing, costing, discount structures, terms and conditions, sales strategy development/execution, negotiating and sales proposal development.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of aerospace and defense industries required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and oral/written communication skills.

Level 3:

  • US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or Engineering required.

  • Additional formal training in specialized areas such as aviation maintenance, negotiations and strategic selling preferred.

  • 5+ years' experience in progressive sales experience required, preferably in an aircraft engine or aircraft industry segment.

  • Experience negotiating US Government FAR contracts required, and experience negotiating US Government TINA contracts is desired.

  • Extensive Woodward product knowledge and demonstrated ability to effectively influence customers, preferred.

  • Relevant experience working with a technical/engineered product serving complex accounts and channels required.

  • Sales leadership with large-scale sales experience (i.e. $50M +) preferred.

  • Track record of results working for a multinational company (companies) with a diverse, global customer base required.

  • Strong commercial skills including: selling process, pricing, costing, discount structures, terms and conditions, sales strategy development/execution, negotiating and sales proposal development.

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of aerospace and defense industries required.

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and oral/written communication skills.

Travel & Location

  • Ideal location would be based at one of our aerospace facilities in Niles-IL OR Santa Clarita-CA

    • Will consider candidates that will be located at one of our facilities in Rockford-IL , Fort Collins- CO, or Zeeland-Mi as well.

  • Hybrid arrangements are possible with pre-agreed plans to spend 60% of time at internal facilities or visiting customers and 40% of time remote.
