Sales Manager (New Business Development)
Remote, USA (East Coast preferred)
$120,000 base plus £24,000 in potential bonus (commensurate with experience)

Our client is a leading provider of advanced learning technology solutions, partnering with educational institutions to transform how learners, educators, and administrators achieve their goals. Their innovative platform enables institutions to enhance learner engagement, streamline processes, and achieve measurable outcomes.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join an EdTech company at the start of its U.S. scale-up journey (20 years business in the UK). As the first dedicated Sales Manager in the region, you’ll work closely with leadership to define and implement the U.S. go-to-market (GTM) strategy. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a hands-on environment and wants to make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute a territory plan aligned with the U.S. GTM strategy.
  2. Drive new business opportunities and expand existing client relationships within educational institutions.
  3. Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Customer Success, Product) to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives.
  4. Build and manage a sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding quota targets.
  5. Present and position the company’s platform to senior stakeholders, driving interest and engagement.
  6. Monitor market trends and customer insights to adapt strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
  7. Act as an ambassador for the company, increasing awareness and engagement across the U.S. market.
What We’re Looking For
  1. At least 5 years of enterprise-level sales experience, ideally within SaaS or EdTech.
  2. Must have Higher-ed experience.
  3. A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset – you thrive on taking ownership and driving results.
  4. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with excellent relationship-building skills.
  5. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and prospecting tools like LinkedIn Navigator.
  7. Flexibility to travel as required and work across multiple time zones.
