MBA | SHRM-CP | Human Resources- Talent Manager
Responsible for the management of Amazon direct business. Partner with team to plan and implement effective channel and account strategies designed to drive profitable sales by gaining new distribution and strengthening existing distribution.Work with third-party providers to ensure account direction, proposals, and activities are aligned with annual strategic plans and company goals.
Responsibilities
- Apply understanding of corporate objectives, brand and marketing strategies, industry dynamics and internal capabilities to annual planning and ongoing account management.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with Amazon Vendor Manager, AVS, and Amazon Advertising teams. Review, negotiate and optimize customer program agreements and contracts. Partner with customers and team to determine sales opportunities and design programs to promote sales.
- Establish annual sales forecasts and assist the Sales Support Analyst 1 with identifying forecast trends and communicating adjustments while also managing needs with key internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Product, and Production teams.
- Develop strategic promotional plans, pricing, and assortments that drive overall account growth and profitability goals. Monitor POS trends, measurement of promotional performance, line optimization, and industry analyses.
- Communicate direction, expected outcomes, and strategic updates to third-party partners toward managing day-to-day activities, optimizing Amazon AMS and DSP campaigns, gaining share of search, enhancing content, and strategy implementation.
- Actively manage Amazon product catalog in conjunction with Account Planning team on product pipeline for new items, aligning launch support, merchandising campaigns, variation strategy, brand store refreshes and content optimization to support Pilot’s brand presence and growth.
- Partner with the Marketing team on identifying assortment gaps, monitoring insights into brand performance, consumer reviews and collaborating on marketing campaigns.
- Analyze and control expenditures, and appropriations for account-related promotions and programs. Ensure that expenses comply with budgetary requirements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales reports showing sales performance, sales potential, and ROI of promotions along with annual strategic business reviews.
- Work with Customer Service, Finance, and Distribution to promote efficiency on account compliance as needed to resolve pricing, catalog, chargeback and product suppression issues.
- Collaborate with the Account Specialist team to maintain accurate account information, planning tools, and promotional documentation, including BTS audits and trade promotional calendars.
- Work with team to develop and deliver meaningful presentations at customer meetings. Represent company at tradeshows, industry meetings and customer events as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business related field
- 5+ years of sales experience in a consumer products environment
- 3+ years of experience in managing a 1P Amazon business and overseeing advertising campaigns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of influencing decision making by analyzing data and communicating a persuasive story.
- Must be well organized, detail oriented, able to work independently, and have working knowledge of Amazon Vendor and/or Seller Central and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrate a proactive, positive, collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to multi-task and apply creative problem-solving skills toward managing day-to-day business and achieving targets.
