Purpose of the job:

The Sales Manager - Acetyls Americas is responsible for sales and marketing efforts, including contract and price negotiation, for the Acetyls product line within the region. Primary responsibilities include selecting and servicing a range of end-use customers, overseeing logistics, and meeting volume and profitability targets.

Accountabilities:
  • Operate in a remote home-office environment, focusing on face-to-face sales contact with existing or prospective accounts to define requirements. Must be self-sufficient and highly motivated.
  • Gather and share marketing intelligence such as growth trends, derivative information, and competitor activities. Maintain strong networking with INEOS Acetyls global teams.
  • Maximize regional profitability by balancing volume and gross margin. Responsible for sales of products like acetic acid, acetic anhydride, and ethyl acetate, and for preparing sales forecasts and marketing plans.
  • Coordinate with support departments (Customer Service, Logistics, HSE, Credit, Legal) to address customer issues and initiatives.
  • Manage all customer aspects of the order-to-cash process, including cash collection and new customer setup.
  • Build and maintain relationships at all levels within customer organizations.
Required profile:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering, business, or related; MBA preferred but not required.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business management within the petrochemical industry.
  • Self-starter with the ability to drive performance and translate strategy into action.
Technical skills:
  • Strong marketing, selling, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to develop customer relationships linked to financial success.
  • Quick understanding of market dynamics and opportunities.
