Closet Factory Bay Area is seeking an experienced Sales Manager in San Carlos, CA to lead and develop our In-Home Sales Designers. You will coach, set expectations, and drive performance across the team from consultation through installation.
You will shape the sales culture, partner with ownership, and influence how we grow the business while maintaining exceptional client experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on results.
San Carlos, CA | Sales Leadership
For over 40 years, Closet Factory Bay Area has been designing, manufacturing, and installing custom cabinetry and organization systems for homeowners throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
From custom closets and home offices to entertainment centers, pantries, garages, wall units, and more, every project is individually designed and custom-built for our clients.
Our established brand, reputation, company-generated opportunities, and partnerships with Costco Wholesale and Lowe's provide a strong foundation for our sales organization.
We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager who can build on that foundation—develop our people, strengthen our sales culture, and drive the next level of performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear mandate: develop our sales team and drive the next level of performance.
You'll help lead a team of In-Home Sales Designers who manage the client relationship from the initial consultation and design through the sale and installation of their projects.
Your job is to help them become exceptional at what they do.
You'll coach and develop individual designers, establish clear expectations, create accountability, use performance data to identify opportunities, and build a sales culture where people are motivated to continuously improve.
You'll work closely with sales leadership and ownership and have a meaningful voice in how we sell, how we develop our team, and how we grow the business.
We're looking for a sales leader and coach—not simply an administrator.
The right person knows how to get results through people. You can recognize what makes a salesperson successful, identify where someone is struggling, and turn those observations into coaching that changes behavior and improves performance.
You set high expectations while knowing how to motivate, teach, communicate, and build trust.
Ideal candidates have:
Experience in in-home sales, home improvement, remodeling, high-ticket B2C sales, or other consultative sales environments is strongly preferred.
You'll be joining an established sales organization with a strong foundation already in place:
Success in this role isn't simply managing schedules or reviewing reports. It's building a sales team that continuously gets better.
You'll know you're succeeding when designers are improving, new team members are becoming productive faster, follow-up is stronger, closing ratios are increasing, revenue is growing, top performers continue developing, and the team operates with greater consistency, confidence, and accountability.
Compensation within the range will be based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated sales leadership success.
Closet Factory already has the brand, infrastructure, products, manufacturing capabilities, sales opportunities, and talented people.
We're looking for a leader who can bring those pieces together and help our sales organization reach its full potential.
If you're energized by developing salespeople, building winning teams, improving performance, and seeing measurable results from your leadership, we'd like to meet you.
