Yora Nordic Spa in Portland, Connecticut, is hiring a Sales Manager to help launch our wellness destination and build partnerships with local businesses and groups.

You will develop a strong understanding of our hydrotherapy experience and create a robust pipeline to drive revenue, collaborating with Marketing and spa teams. This full-time role is based on-site with occasional travel in the region.

Opening in November 2026, Yora Nordic Spa is a place to pause, reconnect and experience wellbeing through nature, hydrotherapy and authentic human connection. It is a space where our team will create thoughtful and welcoming experiences that help guests reconnect with themselves, with others and with the natural world around them.

The Opportunity

The Sales Manager will be one of the first members of Yora's on-site team and will help introduce our new Nordic spa to businesses, organizations, community partners and social groups throughout the local and regional market. This role is anticipated to start at the start of October 2026, ahead of our opening to the community in November 2026.

The Sales Manager is Yora's connection builder - creating relationships that help more people discover Yora wellness and turning that awareness into sustainable revenue growth. Through purposeful business development, business-to-business partnerships and social group sales, this role creates meaningful reasons for people to visit, gather, reconnect and return.

What You Will Do

• Develop a strong understanding of Yora's hydrotherapy experience, wellness benefits, treatments, Bistro, memberships, retail and seasonal experiences.
• Build awareness and demand among social groups, businesses, employers, organizations and community partners.
• Identify and develop priority accounts and market segments within the local and regional community.
• Build and maintain a qualified pipeline sufficient to achieve sales and revenue targets.
• Maintain a consistent rhythm of prospecting, networking, account visits, proposals and follow-up.
• Convert opportunities across corporate wellness, employee recognition, client connection, retreats, celebrations, group visits, gift cards and memberships.
• Create clear and compelling proposals that communicate the Yora experience, value, pricing and expectations.
• Manage opportunities from initial outreach through booking, post-visit follow-up and ongoing account development.
• Develop trusted relationships with local businesses, employers, event planners, tourism partners, community organizations, hotels and complementary businesses.
• Grow existing accounts through repeat bookings, expanded participation and additional Yora experiences.
• Partner with Marketing to increase awareness within priority sales segments.
• Work with spa teams to ensure group commitments are delivered without compromising the overall guest journey.
• Maintain accurate pipeline, CRM, forecast and performance information and identify gaps early.
• Protect pricing integrity and ensure every proposal and partnership reflects Yora's values of Simple, Inclusive, Natural and Social.

What You Bring

• Three to five years of progressive sales, business development, account management or group-sales experience.
• Demonstrated success generating new business and achieving revenue targets.
• Strong business-to-business relationship development and account-management capabilities.
• Strong local networking and community relationship-building skills.
• Experience with social groups, wellness, tourism, events, hospitality or premium experiences is preferred.
• Strong prospecting, presentation, proposal, negotiation and closing skills.
• Confidence managing sales pipelines, forecasts, CRM systems and performance reporting.
• Exceptional communication, organization and follow-through.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
• Genuine curiosity about wellness and the ability to communicate the Yora experience and benefits of hydrotherapy confidently.

Schedule

This is a full-time position based at Yora Nordic Spa in Portland, Connecticut, with regular work throughout the spa, office and local community. The role includes local and occasional regional travel and requires flexibility to attend business meetings, networking events, partner activities and group experiences. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required based on business and relationship-building needs.

Physical And Work Environment Requirements

This position works across office, spa and community settings and involves regular local travel to meetings, networking events and partner activities. The role includes periods of sitting, driving and computer use; standing and walking during property tours, presentations and events; regular bending and reaching; climbing stairs; and lifting and carrying routine presentation, event or promotional materials.

While working throughout the spa or attending external activities, employees may encounter changing temperatures, humidity, steam, moisture, outdoor weather conditions, noise and wet or slippery surfaces. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
