Job summary

Cfm is seeking an experienced manager to lead the Applied Equipment business in Denver. This role involves overseeing personnel, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales performance. Ideal candidates will have a strong HVAC background and proven leadership abilities. The position offers a compensation range of $175K-200K plus bonus and requires ten or more years of relevant experience.

As a leader, you will develop sales strategies, manage expectations with manufacturers, and maintain excellence in customer relations. Flexibility to work outside regular hours is essential.

Job description

The Opportunity

Under minimal direction, this role is responsible for the successful management and leadership of the Applied Equipment business including personnel, development, coordination, customer satisfaction, growth, building relationships with customers and manufacturers, support of strategic objectives and accountability for overall sales and financial results.

FLSA Status: Exempt

Compensation: $175K-200K + Bonus
OPEN TO REGIONAL RELOCATION

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for developing projections, contract administrations, and sales effectiveness.
  • Develops strategic short and long-range sales objectives including operations, personnel and financial performance.
  • Responsible for achieving Sales objectives regarding market share, profit, and growth goals.
  • Ability to successfully lead a team of inside and outside sales team members.
  • Assist outside Sales team members in developing short-term and long-term sales plans and conduct quarterly meetings to review their sales plans.
  • Sets work priorities for direct reports by reviewing sales performance and aligning their goals and behaviors with company’s short and long-term goals and expectations.
  • Assign new and existing accounts as necessary.
  • Responsible for mediating internal and external sales issues that arise due to warranty, commission splits, and other disputes.
  • Create and maintain a culture of Involvement, engagement, ownership, respect, fairness accountability and consistency based on CFM’s Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Responsible for Managing expectations and relationships with the Manufacturers we represent within the assigned territory, with a commitment to meeting all manufacturers’ sales expectations.
  • Develops and ensures that quality standards are maintained, for processes and functions.
  • Maintains outstanding customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, advising corrective action, and communicating with customers and manufacturers.
  • Responsible for keeping abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements related to equipment.
  • Develop leadership within the local sales office, including administrative, inside and outside sales team for future individual, strategic growth and succession planning.
  • Responsible for recruiting, developing, retaining, and promoting local sales teams.
  • Teams with leadership evaluate and review potential new product lines.
  • Facilitates Weekly sales team meetings.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
The Required Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and ten or more years technical HVAC sales related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning or Construction industry experience a must
  • Excellent initiative, interpersonal communications skills and demonstrated ability to influence others.
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office 2007 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

Able to interpret and follow instructions delivered in written, verbal, or diagram form. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through issues involving multiple variables in standard situations. Maintains the mental focus and stamina needed to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Environmental Conditions

Work is conducted in a professional office environment, with limited, occasional exposure to field conditions.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
